RunUrban sponsor new Southside 6 event

Once there was a Glasgow marathon. Now there is a fantastic alternative. This October, the inaugural Southside Six will see runners racing 16 miles through six of Glasgow’s Parks.

And RunUrban is delighted to announce that they will be supporting The Southside Six, taking place on October 30, 2011.

The brainchild of city runners Alan McDermid and Nick Vaughan, the event will see more than 200 people running 16 miles through Queen’s Park, King’s Park, Linn Park, Rouken Glen Park, Pollok Country Park and Bellahouston Park.

The aim of the event is to offer something completely new and different to runners, and also to reveal a great way to explore the green spaces of the southside of Glasgow.
